How a female can lower body fat percentage

Can someone tell me how to get a lower body fat percentage?

I am a 5'8', 140 lb. female with a muscular stature. Can someone tell me what and how much I need to eat to get a lower body fat percentage? Are there foods I should eat or foods I need to stay away from? What is the amount of calories I should consume? I lift and do cardio 5-6 days a week. I would appreciate any help! Thanks!

Stay away from simple carbs such as anything w/ sugar. and stay away from white breads also.

In order for you to adjust your caloric intake, you need to know how many calories you consume. Write down everything you eat and drink in a week. Divide by seven and we have a daily average. Divide again by the number of meals you will eat in a day (5,6 or 7) and you have an average meal per day. The first thing to do after you have a log, is examine the foods you eat. Make small adjustments. If you could use a little help, just ask and you will see this board come alive with offers. Good luck.

The cardio is key to shedding bodyfat IMO, but keep lifting as the muscle you add will help burn fat. Do the diet journal, that will disipline you like nothing else. Other then that, eat clean, avoid the simple carbs as Bigboy said. Good luck. Keep us posted.
